DERBYSHIRE SAILING ENDEAVOUR AND CARSINGTON SAILABILITY

Working together

A typical Wednesday at Carsington.

Richard boarding LuggerBased at Carsington Sailing club, Derbyshire Sailing Endeavour have now taken over the management of South Yorkshire Sailing Endeavour’s Drascombe Lugger and moved it to Carsington Water to cope with the extra demand for ‘group’ sailing. If you would like to become involved in any way, from taking people with disabilities and learning difficulties out sailing or training in our boats or yours, to helping on shore and ‘maintaining’ our ‘fleet’ don’t be afraid to ask, you will be surprised how rewarding it is. Currently this consists of Derbyshire Sailing Endeavour’s Squibs - ‘Endeavour’ and ‘David Allen’ - Drascombe Longboat Cruiser - ‘Freyja of Foolow’ Drascombe Lugger ‘Endeavour’ - three single seat Access dinghies and one 303 two seat Access Dinghy. We also have the use of a further two two- seat Access boats which have been made available through the fund raising efforts of Bakewell Rotary Club.

If you would like to contribute in any way please contact me, Derek Lee, by email or on my mobile 07762 193305. Cash is always useful as we need to replace the sails on the coaster soon. Donated new or cast off kit and equipment is either used or sold on. What is really appreciated is physical help.
