The committee looked at the possibility of financially supporting Drascombe-related charities but feedback suggested that most members would prefer to decide themselves which charities to support. We decided to invite such charities to publicise themselves in DAN so that members could give time, money or other resources as they felt fit. The first to respond was Derek Lee, the winner of the 2003 Churchouse Boats Trophy, of the Derbyshire Sailing Endeavour.
Other such charities are invited to submit short articles direct to the DAN editor and we will aim to print one appeal per issue. After publication, articles will be accessible on or via the Drascombe website. We can also have direct links from our website to other suitable organisations.
