This expanse of sea is an authentic wonder, the coast between Otranto and S.Maria di Leuca is absolutely one of the most beautiful places of Italy.

As poet Virgilio recounts in his verses, the Troian hero Aeneas and his family disembarked just here, in Castro.

It was Aeneas successors who founded Rome, the cradle of my splendid country. Amicably.
