We've received the following letter and fine photographs from Italian member Rocco Boccadamo:
Dear Luke,
In the middle of this hot summer 2003 I'd like to send you friendly, warm regards from "my sea".
At the beginning of June I moved from Lecce to my little summer house in Castro: Castro is a tiny, enchantable holiday resort located on Otranto Channel right where Adriatic Sea and Jonio Sea go together in one sea. Every day I spend 3-4 hours sailing along the coast with my cruiser "My Three Cats": it's just an amateur's opinion, yet its performances are a boost to my pride! Among the boats here "My Three Cats" is definitively the most admired both by tourists and by seapeople in Castro and surroundings. Furthermore, during these days it has a very special observer, namely former USSR President and Nobel Peace Prize Laurate Mikhail Gorbaciov who is spending right in Castro his summer vacation.
I would like - and I would be grateful to you - to see these short notes and the enclosed pictures published in our association's website.
